Julian is proof that you don’t need to follow the traditional path to build a career in finance. After completing Year 12, Julian decided university wasn’t the right path for him. Instead, he chose to get straight into the finance industry, completing his Certificate IV in Mortgage Broking and beginning his career at Heart Financial.
With a genuine passion for property and numbers, Julian put that interest into practice early – purchasing his first investment property just two days after his 19th birthday. He’s fascinated by how property, finance and strategy come together, and is constantly looking to expand his knowledge. As a Finance Associate, Julian works closely with Jo, assisting with lender research, servicing assessments and loan commentary. He’s developing his skills across the full lending process with the goal of becoming Heart’s youngest Finance Broker before he turns 21.
Outside of finance, football has been a big part of Julian’s life. He played soccer throughout most of his teenage years before turning his passion for the game into a side hustle, selling soccer socks and accessories. Ambitious, curious and commercially minded, Julian brings a fresh perspective to the Heart team. He loves numbers, loves property and isn’t afraid to back himself – qualities that make him one to watch as he continues his journey towards becoming a broker.
For Julian, the journey is just beginning. And he’s determined to make the most of it.
